Full course description
The mod4 and TMKT materials have been developed to help teachers develop mathematical knowledge for teaching (MKT). The materials include mathematical tasks of teaching grounded in records of teaching practice.
The two sets of materials are similar but differ in audience, language, timing, and support. The mod4 materials are developed primarily for use by professional developers in school-based settings and instructors in pre-service teacher education methods courses. They have variable-length workshop/course sessions with mathematical background supports. In contrast, the TMKT materials are developed primarily for use in mathematics courses for elementary teachers. They have 80-minute classes with support for connections to teaching practice.
